There services available to assist wherever you live:

 

Department of Vocational Rehabilitation offers many services and can help purchase specialized equipment.

 

Elmview provides services to people with disabilities in Kittitas and Yakima counties. They offer help with employment, housing respite for caregivers, training and education.

 

EnTrust Community Services assists people in Yakima County and Prosser with disabilities by promoting education, employment and healthcare.

 

Washington State Department of Services for the Blind (DSB) provides training, counseling, and support to Washington residents who are blind, visually impaired, pursue employment, education and independent living.

 

 

ARE YOU JUSTICE INVOLVED?

Washington Fair Chance Act – RCW chapter 49.94 – protects job applicants with a criminal record. The law prohibits businesses from automatically or categorically excluding workers with consideration before determine that they are otherwise qualified for a position. This law has been in effect since 2018.

 

If you have been involved with the justice system, help is available:

 

  • If you have a history of theft and are finding it difficult to find employment, look into Washington’s bonding program.

 

 

 

  • The State has developed a reentry guide to help you connect with available resources.

HopeSource provides access to vital services like transportation, education, and employment in Kittitas County.

 

Northwest Community Action Center helps people in Yakima county learn new skills, find jobs, and provides assistance with heating expenses. 

 

Opportunities Industrialization Center of Washington (OIC) offers emergency food assistance, youth, and senior services throughout Central Washington.

 

Pahto Transit provides assistance with travel within the Yakama Nation. 

 

People For People services communities throughout Central Washington with meals on wheels and transportation for eligible individuals.

 

Washington Connection offers a fast and easy want to connect with Food, Cash, Child Care, Long-Term Care and Medicare Savings Programs.

 

Washington Gorge Action Programs (WAGAP) assists people in Klickitat and Skamania counties. WAGAP can help you navigate social services, pay your power bill, connect with food banks and more.

 

Washington State Department of Social and Health Services offers food, cash and medical assistance to qualified individuals.
